extra parts E4ME

Hello, I have a 1986 Trans am, 305 auto. Im rebuiding the E4ME CCC carb on it. I have it apart now and I have rebuilt carbs before so this was definitely a newb mistake. But anyhow, I split the carb in three(in each of the 'bases') and when i turned the top base of the carb on its side(the top with the butterflies on it) two very small rods fell out(among other things) I dont have right now any pictures(should of thought ahead)but the rods are about one inch long and the diameter and likeness of a ball point pen and brass in color, both being hollow inside and open on both ends. The ends are rounded. I have scoured the forums and pics, but I cant see anything like this on it. Even my 'supreme' rebuild kit does not show this in its explded view. I would love to drive this again before it snows. Does ANYONE know where these went? I cant seem to find the spot and I am purdy sho these are needed to run. Thanks!!

Re: extra parts E4ME

are they hollow tubes?
I doubt they are, it sounds just like your primary metering rods eh?

do they have little springs on them?

I know there's a rebuild blowup diagram here on the forum. You can check that. Do you have a digital camera?

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

I had the same thing happen. They are supposed to be in the air horn, pressed into place. See https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/atta...ubes-boxed.jpg , which shows where they were when I pulled my airhorn off. They fit above those cavities.

Re: extra parts E4ME

they are not the metering rods, they are still there. Also, i thought maybe these would slip over them or something, but to help, these openings in the rods arent large enough to fit the metering rods, if that helps.I have checked the posts here and the super awesome pics someone posted. I have an iphone, when i get home ill snap a pic or two with a tape measure and post them. thanks!!

Somewhere in the above Sonix outlined where these tubes (bleeds and emulsion) are installed in the airhorn.

They aren't shown because they are supposed to be a permanent part of the air horn, not "service parts" to be removed during servicing.

Re: extra parts E4ME

Are we talking about the secondary well tubes that fall out? Just bang them back in w/ a plastic screw driver handle, being careful not to damage the ends
