what happened to my aneroid cavity insert!!

started a carb rebuild today on a 84 z28 with the original carb that came on car when I bought it new in 84 and no one has ever touched the carb before. There is no aneroid cavity plastic insert that is supposed to go under the m/c solenoid electrical connector. Should there be one there or doesn't it really matter? carb # is 17084201 Rochester quadrajet. it has both the m/c solenoid and tps.

I haven't seen one yet in any of the ccc-qjets I've been through.

My '84 T/A carb didn't have one either.

My 84 T/A was missing it as well. There was what looked like calcium deposits in there.
