You don't seem very open to help, actually.

Let's look at what you said:

Only ignorant people "know" that.

So if we can't convince you of the truth, why should we bother making recommendations?

Certainly, but not if you're going to be closed-minded.

Re: Intake

1) We don't know what you have - is it all stock?
2) The Quads are about the best carb out there - great gas mileage, capable of alot of power, capable of feeding alot of setups
3) Your wrong on the Holley vs. Edelbrock - the Holley is the one that usually gets tuned more often - that's why it was designed to be more easily tunable. The Edelbrock is a plug and play, easily tuned in 10 minutes, and stays where you leave it without retuning all the time, but not quite as easy to change jets, rods, etc.
4) There's alot of manifolds available, but we don't know what you want really. Technically, if I understand it correctly, intake should be matched to the cam, carb should be matched to the intake - so you're kinda going backwards seeking an intake to match a carb.

So - in essence, get any intake you want that your Holley will mount to - it's kinda personal preference. Most carb folks use an Edelbrock Performer RPM or Edelbrock Air Gap if that helps.

Re: Intake

The edelbrock performer rpm and the air gap are too much for his 305. He will need a performer or a weiand action plus intake. And if you car is anywhere near stock you will need to ditch the computer, figure out a way to control transmission lockup, and you will need a new distributor. All in all you should stay with the stock quad unless you can change all the above.

Re: Intake

Well my 305 is compleatly stock and the tranny is a jasper racing 700r4 the car dosent have much of a computer so that won't be hard to eliminate but thank you for the real suggestions I didn't want to go edelbroc because I have had nothing but problems with those had to tune them every day when I went to drive the car and I just really don't like quadrajets this one has been nothing but a hassel so I want to go to a holly so thanks for the weiand suggestion I appreciate it
