Ok I have a 350 engine but when I try to start it up white smoke pops out the carburetor and it wont start to idle. I have recently installed MSD distributor and 6-AL ignition system thanks

 

so your sayin it will run but not idle?

 

It wont start or idle, I crank the engine and it goes POP and i dont want to break anything so I stop cranking

 

timing is most likely not right or firing order incorrect make sure wires are where they should be

 

It seems like Im 180 degress backwards, I think my balancer was messed with and when it lines up for TDC its actually on the opposite stroke. I've moved my dizzy as far each way it can go and rewired it like 4 times and still no improvement

 

Bring number up to tdc line up rotor with number 1 on cap and it will either be correct or 180 off depending on stroke
