What's it worth?
I'm doing a swap to an LSx and selling off a 4bbl quadrajet off of a 305. It has been rebuilt within the last 500 miles. How much do you guys think I should ask for it? Or is it just a paper weight?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask. If so mods, please move or delete.

Re: What's it worth?
Depends on the local market, but usually anywhere from $40 to $100. Or atleast that is what they can go for around me. Depends on the condition they are in and the model.

I should know the model considering it was just rebuilt, but I can't for the life of me remember. I'll look at it and post up.

one of the best ways is to compare what you have to what similar ones are going for on ebay. That can get you a good ballpark figure on what to ask. Your local classifieds would also be a good place to start selling.

Yea, one of the dead giveaways is if your looking at the carb on the car from the front on the left you'll see a little blue connector for the mixture control soleniod. Non computer controlled carbs don't have it. There is also a throttle position sensor connector on the right front of it, its a 3 wire connector.

Some people pay more for a rebuilt one. Some people only trust rebuilds they do themselves, would end up redoing it, and only pay the same as a non-rebuilt one. Price could go anywhere. "40-100" sounds about right to me.
