Needle and seat replacement help
So Im looking at getting my first camaro. Its an 86 iroc with a edelbrock 600 cfm carb in it. Problem is the guy says the needle and seat is leaking and needs replaced. Of course it might not even be the needle and seat and may have the same problem this guy had. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/carb...-restarts.html
My question is is it difficult to replace the part? I have a little mechanical experience and would like to learn but Im no genius. Any help is appreciated. Heres a link to the car.

Re: Needle and seat replacement help
Edelbrock carbs are pretty easy to work on, I've had mine apart many times...most of the time it was on the engine. IIRC that carb has 2 needles and seats, but it's been a while since I've messed with one.

Re: Needle and seat replacement help
Some of the linkage on both sides gets disconnected, it's just held in with little spring clips that like to fly away when you remove them. The top screws come out and the top lifts off, turn it upside-down, take the float hinge pins out, take the floats out, pull out the needles, unscrew the floats. Reassemble and check the float height.
