Throttle Body To Carb

ok well i just bought an 89 rally sport cause i wanted something other than my truck. I wanted something that was cheap and hauled ***. I bought it, 305 tbi with a 5 speed. Now i realize that everyone hates on the 305 and it has no *****, but i wouldnt know because i havent drove it yet because its been at a shop getting the tank dropped to put a new fuel pump in. The car set me back 1200 bucks. Which i thought was a good deal. Now i need some help. Im 15 years old and i know alot about motors and cars and what not but i want to put a carb on it and get rid of that TBI. Please dont try and talk me out of it cause im goin to do it anyways so anything helpful is appreciated. This is the part list i got going so far-

Carburetor-http://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/9905/10002/-1
Intake Manifold-http://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/2975/10002/-1
Distributer- http://www.jegs.com/i/MSD+Ignition/121/85551/10002/-1

And of course im going to get some braided gas lines and a nice air cleaner to go with it but is this a good list or what also do i need?

Thank you!

Re: Throttle Body To Carb

I would probably skip that manifold is has a 3500-8000RPM power band why would you wnat that?

Get this or an air gap.

Why do you want a carb?

Is your TBI not working?

Why not get a carb manifold and a TBI adapter and mod the TBI?

Re: Throttle Body To Carb

I'm just gonna put a tpi on it the mechanic has it on a 305 from an 86 iroc. So that just sounds more logical. But thanks for the replies!
