gas evap line?
currently i have my gas evap (or whatever you might call it) line just plugged off, no longer going to the charcoal canister..is this gonna cause any major issues? i am not sure why we did that now, was a several months ago..might have just accidentally cut the line when doing other stuff..anyway..is it killing gas mileage (still tuning carb so dont know personally yet) or anything else? my general feeling currently is it wont hurt gas mileage hugely and the vapor just comes out of the top of the carb so no pressure issues..but thats just a guess

Re: gas evap line?
so far ive read about possible explosions and return lines(not getting them confused with evap lines) that kinda worries me a bit..ill double check the manual for the return line/evap line make sure its just the evap line..

Re: gas evap line?
it is the evap line that originally went to the canister control valve. that got taken out when we were removing all the extra lines for the air system. which is why i just plugged it up.

Re: gas evap line?
Have you considered mounting the canister under the drivers side area where the canister originally sat? Then route the lines to it underneath. This way you have a neater engine bay plus no worries about pressure issues.

Re: gas evap line?
I haven't moved the canister at all. I think the line ran to a canister control valve and had vacuum lines going into the valve before it ran to the canister ..that's just a guess. I would just hook up a direct line to canister but if it needs vacuum (port or manifold? Manifolds the continuous one?) Id have to figure something else out

Re: gas evap line?
I run mine with the canister disconnected. I have the line running so it vents near the front fender. I did not plug it but put a push on style fuel filter on the end of the hose., to allow it to vent and keep debris out.

Re: gas evap line?
i dont think pressure is much of an issue since the vapor just comes out of the top of the carb..as long as thats not killing mpg (im only getting 12.5 mpg right now) i wont worry too much i guess
