so i have been doing a major over haul on my 1984 pontiac trans am and practically emptied half my pay checks into it, and just when i am thinking i have reached the bend on one problem, it come right around to kick me in the ***. the problem i am having is one, the throttle is getting stuck slightly on acceleration, two. it eats up more gas then it should be, and three, the engine bay reeks really bad like gas its hard to miss but no drips or leaks, plus after a new fuel pump, and a some new fuel/vacuum lines, im basically dead in the water

any help on these problems are really appreciated

oh, and a friend of mine said that maybe leaky jets can be the cause of the excess fuel burning and strong gas smell, but i would like a second opinion and a bit of a how to if thats the case.
