Holley 570 vs 600

Hey everyone, I have a Holley 570 CFM dual feed (80570) as well as a Holley 600 CFM 4160, for my 305. I've always been a fan of the 570 but I'm looking for some personal accounts between the two. Which do you prefer?

I have the 600 on my 305. Works great so far.

I have the 570 currently on my 86 T/A. I have used the 600 in the past but I feel that it is a little too much for a 305 engine. Also I like the fact that the 570 already has the secondary spring quick change kit, it comes with the clear sight plugs for setting float level, the finish looks nicer, no need to worry about proper fuel delivery to the secondary bowl through the tiny cross over tube and I just prefer center hung bowls due to having messed with double pumpers a lot.

Thanks Bestracing for as well confirming every reason why I like the 570 better. I especially feel that the 570 is the perfect 'amount' of carb as opposed to the 600 being a bit over kill.

Since a stock 305 can only realistically use around 400 CFM, I don't see any difference between using a 570 or 600. Especially since they're both vacuum secondary.

I agree that there isn't much difference between the two in that aspect but I have had both on my 86 and the 570 was just a little more responsive on the track. For me, it's mostly that the 570 is more tuner friendly out of the box than the 600 since it is already equipped with quick change features and reusable bowl gaskets and since I show my car more the bright finish is better looking than the dirty yellow finish.

It was "that aspect" to which I was responding. To wit:

In "that aspect", the 570 is overkill.
