afr head selection help!!
ok guys im in the process of ordering some afr heads for my car, it was originally a 350 tpi but got rid of the whole system and swapped to carb. i know there is like 4 part numbers which are 1034, 1040, and 1041. i have the performer rpm intake manifold so which one would be the correct heads to buy? please help so i can order these bad boys!

1034 is straight plug
1040 is angle plug
1041 is angle plug with 87 and up intake mounting angle.
1034 will work with a pre 87 intake
so will 1040 but you might have header clearnce issues with the angle plugs
1041 will need a 87 up intake and again might have header issue

so the 1034 would be my best bet? I'm gonna run hooker shorties for a while and upgrade later

Transmission: TH350 with ATI Treemaster
Axle/Gears: 7.5 with 4.10's

If you are ordering from AFR, get the heads milled to bring your compression up and it is worth upgrading to 7/16" studs now. Then, a real cam and you are ready to go!

if i order from online and i add the upgraded valve springs , will they install them or will they come seperate? or would i have to call them first to see if they will installed them ?

would that be the .008 or .006? how much of a price difference would that be , in there website it doesnt say anything on price

Mine had the stud upgrade and better springs (all installed by them) and 60cc combustion chambers. Tell them you want the 60cc chambers and they will figure how much to mill off. I think the cost for that was around $100.
