Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
Depends upon what you consider "hard". Most of the main things are the same - choke, throttle linkage, accelerator pump, secondary air valve control. The details that are different are the electronic parts - throttle position sensor, mixture control solenoid. It also needs proper information to the computer through other sensors like the distributor, O2 sensor, coolant temperature sensor, manifold absolute pressure sensor (also called vacuum sensor).
Is your check engine light on? If so, you first need to read the error codes from the computer to know what the computer thinks is wrong. If it is on and you don't do that, you're just spinning your wheels.
How familiar are you with non-computer carburetors? Your issue may well be something like the accelerator pump, which is no different than the non-computer q-jet.

Re: CC Q-Jet help
No way to do that. ONLY the CC-QJet will work with the ECM. No other.
If you want to get rid of computer controls completely (basically you have to changed the carb AND distributor to non-computer controlled units) there is a tech article about doing that.

Re: CC Q-Jet help
I will be ridding the system as soon as the 383 is finished but that's 3 months off about! Getting excited though!
