Took my 85 LG4 with a Rochester quadrajet CCC and went to an edlebrock 1406 with edlebrock intake. I have been asked several times about the bracket I used. I will tell you this is not a drop on for an edlebrock, as its a holley bracket. But with one cut and bend it works great, for me at least. Here's what I used and what I did. The only tools you absolutely need to mod the bracket are at a minimum a pair of some type of pliers or a clamping tool, and a way to cut metal (grinder, hacksaw, sawsall all work fine)
Ok, I got a Holley 20-100 TV cable bracket and a TCI tv cable adapter. Pics of both upc codes in pics, got both from summit. Clamp down the bracket and cut exactly like I did in the photo. Bend the tab you have just made down 90 degrees so it will rest on the carb flange. Check this a few times and make sure the bracket is straight toward the carb linkage. You need this bend to support the bracket from turning. The dowel pin that's included with the bracket didn't work for me, but I'm sure there's some one out there that can make it work for them.
I plan on taking my stock bracket and modding it in the future so I can get my cruise control back. But this was a super cheap and effective solution that allowed me to get back on the road quickly. I have not had any issues with the bracket flexing at WOT, or with the bracket coming loose. 1k miles on it and it's still rock solid. When I mod my factory bracket I will make a follow up, but there will most likely be welding involved and I know alot of people don't have one. Pics below, feel free to ask any questions you have. And for the record I set out with the intent of making the car a driver, not a race car, and not a restoration. It's a work in progress, I hope I can contribute more in the future.

Your picture shows that the offset between the 2 cables measures 5/8" and that the TV cable is exactly inline with the upper right valve cover bolt/stud.
Your other pictures show that you are getting WOT and the pull on the TV cable seems to be correct also.
The cables look straight with no overly sharp angles that would not pull smoothly.
That Holley 20-100 bracket is actually listed to fit a Holley carb, not an Edelbrock. But it sure seems to work with that slight modification.
I took measurements from my factory stock bracket and E4ME QJet carb setup and also showed comparisons between the QJet and Edelbrock carbs.. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/carb...ml#post6320829 The TV cable mounting point (larger notched square) is 7/8" FORWARD of the the smaller notched square for the throttle cable (offset).
Relative to the stud holding the valve cover (top, right), the throttle cable is 9/16" rearward and the TV cable is 5/16" forward.
But as long as the throttle cable is positioned correctly to get WOT, and since the TV cable is adjustable, it only needs to be located so that it falls within it's ratcheting range.
IT LOOKS LIKE THIS BRACKET IS THE WINNER! FINALLY, someone figured this out!

I've had issues with TV cable geometry before having worked with the Holley 20-100. Once I did I also had to ensure that the correct cable was being used. There are a few different lengths. Eventually it all worked as the diagram illustrates.
