Re: Help with tvg able to a edelbrock carb

The adjustment procedure is the same for all carbs and types of FI TBs.

What linkage did you put on the carb to support it? What bracket do you have for the outer of the cable?

Read this post: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/carb...-tv-cable.html and get rid of the Edelbrock brackets. Go figure, but Holley has the bracket that will work.

Re: Help with tvg able to a edelbrock carb

I've seen worse. Not sure that's all "right" but at least it looks like some thought and effort went into it and it doesn't look like a hackjob.

There is a release button on your TV cable, where it goes through the bracket; that large D-shaped thing you can see in NoEmissions' photo. You push that in, and with it pushed, pull the sheath of the cable back toward the firewall as far as it will go; then mash the gas pedal to the floor, and the sheath will ratchet itself forward to the correct spot and hold there. If it doesn't, which it looks like it probably won't be able to since it looks like it's already as far back as it will go, try moving the little bracket that the 2 screws holds on, back toward the firewall, and try again.

When you're done the cable will probably be under slight tension at idle; not loose and floppy like it is now.

Your TV corrector is not installed correctly.

It needs to be installed like this.
