Edelbrock 600

Hi All,
I have noticed that when I set my idle on my Camaro using a Edelbrock 600
carb, the idle will change a day or so after I have set it.It changes to the point that it has increased from where I had it set.Any ideas on whats
causing it to change?

Could be a bunch of things like outside temp or the idle screw shifting with vibration have you noticed anything else?

Re: Edelbrock 600

When you say "set the idle" are you referring to adjusting the idle mixture screws or the throttle stop screw? Follow the tuning directions from Edelbrock, really easy to do. The reason I love my 1806 Edelbrock is the ease of adjustment and tuning. If I wanted to fart around all day with a carb I'd have a Holley or Rochester.

lots of ideas.
id start with compression and leak down tests to confirm the health of the engine.
Then a smoke test to check for leaks.
then a rebuild kit to make sure the inside of the edlebrok is good to go
and then a trip to your local dyno to set the jets, distributor curve, heat range of plugs, and finally the idle of the carb.
