best cheap carb

whats the best carb for a basically stock 350 used as a daily driver. it has a q-jet on it right now....was wanting to get something that will allow a little more power and the q-jet is rigged where the car will start and everything. was thinking about an edelbrock 500.....what do ya'll think are some good choices in a $200 to $350 price range???

I'd stay with the Q jet. Rebuild it and call it good.

Ditto. Absolutely the least expensive way to go, and a good choice, anyway.

you could check out a edelbrock 1406 600cfm carb...ive had one for almost 1 1/2 and had not one problem with it

Well, if you don't want to rebuild the QJet, you can always go with a good old Holley You should be able to find one at a swap meet relatively cheap.
