Engine: 412ci/sb
Transmission: Built 700R4
Need Suggestions for a carb on a 400sb
I am going to install carb on my 412ci sb. The engine is set up for street/strip. 6000 max rpm. It is set up for a lot of torque down low so upper rpm hp is not important to me. I want something that will lean towards gas mileage. I am ging to be driving it daily. But I still want something that will not totally choke up the motor either. I was thinking 4 barrel 750cfm vaccum secondaries electric choke. What do you guys suggest

Get a Q-Jet with 1-7/32" primaries, they flow 800 cfm and would be perfect for your 421. Some of us Q-Jet "experts" can help you tune it.

94 Firebird Formula M6- No options but Z rated tires. No mods over $10. 13.5@105.
79 Malibu "beater" w/junkyard 400 SBC, tweaked QJet 4bbl, finally a decent set of heads, a few other tricks. A maddening 13.000001 @ 108 on the motor with little traction. No nitrous runs with the new heads yet.
