so far i would say there isn't any good feedback ... i sent money, he took it .... then said he cant ship out parts because his paypal account is frozen, but now he's posting to sell things AND buy things on different threads .... and where is he getting the money from??? i'll bet some of it's mine .... and yours if you bought anything from him. correct me if i'm wrong but i feel he's trying to take the money and run. has anyone out there received anything they bought from him??

I have the same situation. I have a phone # for him and I'm going to call and chew him out. Then get with paypal to get my money back.

Well guys, claims aren't going to get very far, as it is paypal that has made the mess too. I have been trying to negotiate other parts, as there is an update in my main thread explaining it all. Please read that.

Within the next 1-2 days, my commercial line of credit will have it all taken care of. If anyone wants to discuss it further with me, here is my full and complete contact information. I don't intend to run with anyone's money. I'm not that kind of guy.

My business email is camarorestorations@gmail.com
The email on my paypal account is Camarorestorations@gmail.com

My cell phone number (360) 259-9835

I'm sorry for holding everyone up, like i said, in the main thread there is a more detailed explanation. Please be patient as some things that have happened have been out of my control. I STILL cannot get a explanation of any kind from paypal as to why they locked my, and my friends, accounts. They said it may take up to 31 days to release my money, I will have it resolved from my own pocket shortly.

Alex, I am glad you are getting things cleared up. As soon as you can get my stuff shipped send me an email with a tracking number and when I receive the merchandise, I will Cancel the Paypal dispute. Looks like the best thing to do on that is just not answer the complaint (on your part). You have until Sept 12th(?) before it automatically files it against you. That is plenty of time for shipping.

Both numbers are NOT disconnected. The cell ran out of minutes, itll be back tuesday, guess where the money for that bill went.

The house number works just fine. Again, it is (360) 705-4051

I have shipped 7 orders today. I'm encoraging the people that got their tracking numbers to post up and give me some crediblity that I am solving this mess.

To the paypal buyers, its fine that you filed a claim against me, but paypal has all your money, I havent seena dime of it, so I think its funny they will charge me for the very money they are holding on to.

well, i can vouch for the numbers not being disconnected ... i called alex on his cell the other day and talked to him, so the numbers he gave ... at least the cell number, IS legit ...

as far as tracking numbers, i haven't recieved one yet, however i did tell him that i'd be willing to wait a bit so long as i get my parts...as i am not in dire need of interior panels or a center console at the moment ...

he as assured me , on the phone, that parts for people are going out .... so i urge anyone that has recieved a tracking number to please post that they have gotten one, for my peace of mind and that of the others who are still waiting to get theirs.

Thanks, Don

I just got back with him about the closest Greyhound station for my package, so I am sure he will be getting back with me this evening on this. I will inform you all as I know what is going on.

This will hopefully be the last update on this topic, resolving everything.

The first day the remainder of this week I can finish anything is sunday. ALL PARTS ORDERS WILL BE SHIPPED OUT AND CONFIRMED BY SUNDAY. ALL ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF.

That is the final solution to all this. Sunday will be my first day without school, and football to take away the working hours our UPS and greyhound is open.

Smaller orders that fit within the UPS packaging dimensions will be shipped via UPS. Larger orders will be ground freight via greyhound.

Hopefully this will put a final closing on all these problems, and allow me and all the other members to return to business as normal. Thank you everyone for your support during this troubling time for my business. I've learned some valuable lessons about ecommerce, but have resolved it all now.

I will be sorting out shipping all this week, so some of you will get tracking numbers a day or two earlier. But for everyone, sunday at the latest.

So have you heard anything from paypal? My claim deadline ends this Sunday. I really wish you could assure me that my things will be shipped, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and cancel it.

Don't go making threats.

Let's say you take a trip and come face to face with a lunatic and a gun.

Besides, from my take on what's occurred, PayPal is/was holding the $$. Why should he ship anything without having the money in hand?

I sent PayPal to another Board member on 8/31, PayPal didn't release the money until 9/7 or so. Should I have expected the guy to send the goods on 9/1?

Paypal got back with me, they said his account balance is ZERO. So either they are lying or Alex cleaned it out. Either way I am still without confirmation number, parts, and any satisfaction. I used to have a 4th gen and bought and sold MANY parts on LS1.com and CamaroZ28.com with success. I came here for my 3rd gen needs and of the 2 purchases I have made have turned out bad, very bad. I like the tech stuff, but as far as buying things, this board has too many conartists (slow sellers/misrepresentations) that I have found so far.

Hope to have better experiences in the future,
Chris

My balance showed zero because of the buyer feedback claims. Money transfers in and out are in "held" status, istead of crediting to my account. Either way I am recovering out of pocket, you are one of the people that should have gotten your number today, more will be coming throughout the day as I make runs to the greyhoud depot as i can only fit so many things in my car at once.

I'm hoping so too. I'm really not a bad guy, just having some trouble right now and trying my hardest to sort it out. The LAST thing i ever wanted to do was **** off these board members, because I had hoped to be a continuing seller on this board and hopefully someday a sponsor..... Guess some things just need to be sorted out first on how to do things... And I think its almost there. I thank everyone that has stayed positive and supportive as things clear up.

And trust me its not hard to get your paypal account locked lol. Just type "PayPal" in google and look at all the sites that apose them. Also look at all the lawsuits against them. PayPal badly needs a competitor.

They even locked a Katrina fundraiser with over 25,000$....tell me thats not some

Honestly I don't think I'm over reacting. I dunno how much you guys spent, but I gave him $200. I've tried to stay cool but, my parents are riding my *** because its been almost a month an I've got nothing. I could have gotten the same thing, for less, 3 weeks ago but I turned it down because I thought my things were on there way.

I spent 130$ and its been over a month. Just show some patients people do have things that happen that unexpected. Sometimes things just dont go as planed.

hey man just tell your parents to chill out its not their money is it? All you need to know is no matter what you will be satisfied...if you were in the process of getting completely screwed auto wouldnt email you back he wouldnt be responding to your questions and you would not hear any explanations for whats happening...

you are absolutely right for being upset but now you have to be understanding

if i was in his shoes id be doing the same thing apologizing, grinding my teeth with paypal and doing everything i can to get my money handled and try to satisfy my buyers as quickly as possible no matter what the cost

foul ups happen and with as many ppl as there are using paypal im not surprised one bit

once again i will and i hope everyone else will POST as soon as their stuff comes in and report their satisfaction to clear auto's name

i sent $170 ... i thought i was gonna get ripped off, i didn't get responses to my emails for about a week after the money was recieved , never got a tracking number , but finally after a few posts, emails and pm's i got a few responses ... and alex posted all of his contact info on the board as well as continuous update posts, i called and spoke with him on the phone also. there was a mix up ..... but people ARE getting their tracking numbers and alex is trying to get everything out.

heck ... i ordered a cat. converter from spohn on june 16th and didnt get it until around july 21st ... and then it wasn't even the right part#! these things happen, even when you order from companies. i think everyone will eventually get what they ordered so just be and wait a little bit longer.

Thanks for the support guys. Maybe someday i'll open a money trasfer service that follows bank guidelines and rules, so there is federal regulation to keep you from getting screwed...

Paypal is not a bank and is in NO WAY federally regulated, they have NO laws governing what they can and cant do...

When I talked to my bank they said its like a clearing house, the money in your "account" is in 1 big paypal account that earns interest on your money, its only a benefit to them to keep your funds locked because they earn interest on them.

I found that out when I asked my commercial bank to lean on them to release my money, they said if paypal was in any way related toa bank they could do that and make them free it.... But thats not the case, so I'm screwed.

I am still plenty willing to accept calls and discuss the situation with anyone interested BUYER OR NOT, anyone at all interested, at my business cell line of (360) 259-9835. Hopefully you guys can see things are getting better.

oh and on another note ... paypal has been notorious for screwing people, you can buy an item, recieve it and then tell paypal you didnt or it wasnt as described and get your money back right out of the sellers account ... and thats called buyer protection , when people use it to rip off sellers .... paypal doesnt care , they get their money either way. i'm actually amazed that so many sellers still accept paypal payments. i don't use paypal anymore ... they are worthless imo.

We're working on that right now.... From what I hear they wrote "not leaking" on the box..... wow.

I'm talking with him right now and filing a claim, we both have pictures showing it was mint when it got shipped.

GOOD NEWS, GOOD NEWS

I got a chance yesterday evening to go over to the Greyhound depot and pick up my package. The part was VERY WELL packed and in great condition, just like Alex said it was. Alex, I do apologize for doubting you. It may have taken longer then expected to get the part, but now you have all the connections to get the internet business going.
I would recommend Alex as a seller to anyone, providing the shipping is there for whatever part they were buying. It cost quite a bit to ship my part, Alex hardly made squat on it, sorry.

Much appreciated and thanks for sticking to your word,
Chris

PS: I will email/call Paypal and get this judgement taken off to the best of my ability.
