I purchased some GFX parts and a rear bumper off a guy on here. I sent him a MO the day we came to an agreement on price by purolater (so that he wouldn't be waiting for his money). He recieved the money order over 3 weeks ago but still hasn't shipped the parts. He kept telling me that he was looking for a box to fit it all in. I have his name and addresse but no phone #. I havn't heard from him in almost a week! I tried to look his number up but of course it is unlisted! I don't buy much off the internet and am just wondering how long I should give him, and if he is scamming me is there anything I can do to get my $500 back? I know I am probably just being paranoid but you here so many stories of people getting scammed, and I really don't want to be one of them! Thanks!!

That $500 was including shipping, but you still think that was too high? I think it was $280 for the parts and $150 for shipping. But then I spent $30 over nighting the money order too him. Is there anything I can do about it if I did get screwed?

 

not sure, go to place you got money order from and ask them?or since you have his address ,maybe the threat of a midnight visit? lol

Start gathering all the info you can, & maybe call HIS local Police Dept and ask for help. If it's not resolved in a week or 2 your probably in for a real battle !

 

You have waited long enough. You should post his user id so other users don't get taken by him. Also since you have his name and address, contact his local police department, and usually a visit for a cop will get him to ship the items.

 

Well, I've finally heard from him! He said he was out on a business trip, and that I should not get worried. He even attached pics of the parts boxed up and ready to go with my shipping info on it to "prove" that he is not screwing me around. I have alot of patients and understand that shipping parts of this size and to Canada can be a PITA so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. But it has been over a month now since he recieved the money, and I won't lie to you, my patients and listening to his excuses are wearing thin! And on top of everything he said that I am frustrating him with my constant emails asking him what's going on, and that I am making things difficult! I have never once been rude, or swore at him, and overnighted him the MO so he would have his money right away! I honestly don't believe he is out to screw me or inconvience me at all purposly, but it would be nice to see a little effert on his end to get these parts out! O well, guess I wait till Monday to see what the next excuse is!
