Please Lock: KamikazeIroccy lied to me and wasted my gas and time, sold me a POS
First off, I will make this VERY CLEAR. The ONLY reason I came home with his car last night is because I had two options: 1) turn around and go home after driving 1.5 hr to go see his car, and with a big 2500HD gas truck and a trailer, I'd spend around $80 in gas just to go see it and leave empty handed.... or option 2) buy the car for $150 and HOPEFULLY be able to recoup my $150 and my $80 in gas money by selling the hood and hatch off the car, because those are literally the only parts on the car that have not been so screwed up that I can't repair them.
So yes, i bought the car for $150, but believe me...if he had been honest about his description of the car, and his answers to my specific questions about the car, I would have never even taken the time to go look at it.
Now, with that said, KamikazeIroccy (Terron Davis, of Columbia, MO), had this car listed here for $3,000 originally.

These are the pictures he sent me after I asked for more specific pictures. Notice how the interior pictures don't show much and are very dark? Yea, that's for a good reason. And I'll get to where he blatantly lied to me later, first look at how he portrayed the car.

Notice how the front bumper looks a lot different between those last three pictures?...

I gave him not one, but TWO chances to come clean here before I even drove down to pick it up.

Do any of these look like a title? I have an inspection, a bill of sale, and a lost property bill of sale. Nothing here looks like a "clean title, in hand".

You know the hood I was hoping to at least get my $150 out of and pay for the gas money I wasted? Yea, he said there was no damage to it....that was also a lie.

Re: KamikazeIroccy lied to me and wasted my gas and time, sold me a POS
And to top it all off, he claimed that this thing was running before he pulled the engine out to put in a 383. I even asked him when I was at his house "Was this thing running before you pulled the engine out and stuck the new one in, that you claim you installed?" He said it was running and he had been driving it.
So why on earth once I get it ready to be started, do I turn the key and absolutely nothing happens? Once again, this thing is a broke piece of junk and he hasn't come clean on a single claim he made on it.
Please click the below picture to show a video of it NOT running.

Oh and he also claims that it had a functioning transmission in his for sale ad. This is been copied exactly from his post:
Why is it, that there is nothing on the transmission dipstick then?

Thinking about putting up for sale my Iroc.
It has a 383 stroker that I put in it 2010 Feb. Stock TPI intake, Emissions removal, IROC Daytona Turbo Hood Scoop, Custom Rear Hatch with Spoiler
motor has 0 miles and transmission has about 121,000 but I have a complete transkit to go into it still in box and original packaging
Shoot Me some Offers....
I have a gixxer and that's my new found interest!

Re: KamikazeIroccy lied to me and wasted my gas and time, sold me a POS
Long story short, NEVER buy anything from this guy. He's a complete liar and a crook. If it hadn't been for the fact that he decided to give it to me for $150 I'd have been screwed out of my gas money. With as crappy as the car is I'm pretty much going to break even on the car after selling the hood for a small amount. There's honestly not much else salvagable on the car.

Bump. Subscribing. Sorry to hear you got screwed BlueZee. That was NOT cool. The car is a total POS and was totally misrepresented, along with having no title. There is no doubt about it.

well so it doesnt have a 383 in there? i know its doubtful but it looks like a complete engine you can part, parts of that out. I am sure you can get your 80 in gas plus 150 for purchsing out of it. but yeah he lied about the car and if it were me i wouldnt even have gave him the 150 for it

I hope the hood is good, it is a nice looking hood. Is that really F***ing pink on the dash? Oh and bubble wrap interior on the dash pad and seats.. Who would destroy a car so badly? I think I would keep the hood, really sweet looking

Honestly with the crap he pulled I am pretty confidant it's the stock 305 that was in it factory. I can't say 100%, I didn't pull the heads off I just wanted to see if it would even start. I'm probably gonna give the block to my brother so he can rebuilt it for free at his tech school and then I'll sell it.

Look, I get it. It was $150. But that doesn't negate my point that it's not what he said it was. He said he NEEDED it gone because the city was fining him for it being on the street, so I figured that was mostly why it was so cheap. When you ask a seller specific questions and they answer them about the condition of the car, and you drive and hour and a half on your evening off and find out everything he said was a lie, you'd probably be pretty pisses off too lol

I'm not argueing with you, just saying what would one expect for 150 pop. I know about driving only to find a turd, happened to me a lot of times when buying cars, thinking to come see some restorable car only to find a complete sh!tbox.

that car is ugly!!!
However I decided to go on a hunt for some more pics of the car... and low and behold he has a homepage linked to his account here. Which has pics... pics of which are him putting in a different motor. Maybe a 383 after all? Although looking at the condition of the car, I wouldn't trust the motor being built right. Probably built it from leftover parts.
Anyways... have a look

Wow, LOL. I've had a lot of POS cars, but I've seen better looking cars sitting over there @ Speedway Salvage. The doors any good? I don't want any of the interior stuff with it... just need the metal parts. I've got small rust spots on both of mine.
- This is also why I stick to buying stuff local unless you definitely have a good feel for who you're talking with and they're working with you. In the event it turns up to be a major POS (this happened about a month ago with a fox I looked it) I just walk away and laugh about it. The guy said it was "fixable for the bodyman novice" and I come up there to find out he wants a boatload of money for a car that has the frame in an L-shape on BOTH sides of the front because he hit a pillar so hard. He thought he was going to land a fortune because of how many calls he was getting, but the only reason he got so many is because he was a dishonest douchebag and his pictures were highly deceptive. I went in KNOWING it would be terrible most likely, so I wasn't mad about it.

Well, no one likes to be lied to. But in the end you got a total POS for only $150.

I may take it somewhere around town and let people take shots at it with a 12 gauge or baseball bat for $5 a pop. I think I'd make something that way haha

i really wouldn't be surprised if the motor is even good. From the looks of it, it was assembled on a tire (which isnt always an issue) but in the in the photos you see him putting the heads on and no torque wrench around. Not saying he didn't use one.
Really curious so see if the motor is what he says it is..........
Sorry to hear about this I drove 4 hours north of columbia to look at a "rust free" good condition iroc take in mind this is 5+hour drive, car ending up being extremely rusted, had to hold the steering wheel 40 degrees to the right to go straight, clutch was shot, over heated in the test drive, driver door didnt work......
sorry for the long post. Hope you get your money back.

3K to 150 & obvious crash damage or vandalism between updated pics the bike was hiding...or " just happened to be there when pics were taken "
Maybe you will be suprized to find a 383.....or not.
Have you had time to run the block #?

The block has a 5.7L stamp, VIN says it was originally a 5.0L TPI. I saw pictures of the block he bought from another member here, and it definitely wasn't "fresh" in the condition it was sold. Hopefully he didn't just throw it in the car as is....I found a guy that's going to give me $300 for the engine on Sunday, he's going to pull the heads off and see if it's any good at his shop. if it's good I'll get my money back there.

The most comical thing is that he was originally trying to get $3,000 for this car.

so, you paid 150.00 for a parts car--the 140 speedo/gauges are worth 80.00 to 100.00, TPI setup is worth 200.00, serp setup is worth 200.00, you will get your money back plus make a little profit. does it have a disc brake rear? thats another 250.00. i think you will do fine with your little "gem".

Any chance you found a cam card for a Motion cam in there? I bought a cam from him, but he didn't mail the card.

Wow that must be the comp cam that was supposedly in this "383".
Unfortunately the 145 speedo has the tach needle pegged, not sure if that means it's no good?

If you looked at the item IN PERSON, and still handed over you $$ than there's no room for complaining. Yes,.... I've taken several 2 hour rides to look into buying cars, only to return empty handed. Sucks; sure..... but You really weren't expecting a rust-free, running 383 IROC for $150 - right.
"Light Iron" scrap is about $275 a ton and I'm sure you knew that you could almost double your $$ that day by simply driving that wreck directly to the scrapyard ( without the hood on it ! ). & I'm sure you've been a member here long enough to know what the car is worth parted out. You saw the car & agreed on a price. If you had NOT agreed to the deal than you would have turned around and driven home with a valid reason to complain.

Did I see that this car also had a Noth Hatch included in the sale ??

$150, Were you wearing a mask !! You really should be happy and not upset about this transaction. Why; cause' you got a GREAT deal on that parts car dude !

Hmmm? that dash looks vaguely familiar... This was my $300 "parts car" that I picked up for the disc rear end. Same scenario guy was incurring fines for having the non running car at his apartment complex.

BTW - I might be interested in that hood for an excuse to learn more bodywork techniques. Find any more damage on it?

I sold the hood already. but if you want to practice body work and paint, the notch back hatch would be a good one to practice on

Why on earth would someone destroy a perfect dash pad is beyond me. Under all that garbage on the dash pad was at one time a PERFECT dash. Now it has a bunch of small holes in it for the freakin' sweet buttons that were stuck on it. (barf) I'm going to try to repair this so someone locally can fix up their car with a nice dash pad.

Oh and one of the only things inside the car that I wanted to take was the dash emblem. The dash was already messed up with the Barney purple paint, so I made quick work of it with a hammer.

Agreed. I also have driven hours and come back empty. Looks like a gripe fest here to bury the guy. Just my .02
