Re: Your Convertibles
THe Top should be the same as any ASC Firebird or Camaro from 86-88.
The other pieces like the quarter caps (The spears that run down the side of the car) are the same as any other camaro convertible, from 87 & 88 for sure, not sure if they are the same for camaros from 87-92 or not.
The Interior pieces should be the same as an 87 Camaro, as should all of the other pieces. The only special piece may be the spoiler across the deck-lid as they were unique to 1986 & 1987, I want to think they were changed in either 88 or 89, but I want to think 1988...
The little spear extensions that your car has pretty much stopped after 1987, I have seen one 88 with them, but that's nothing as they could have easily been added... The deck lid, Tonneau cover etc should basically be the same for 86-88 possibly later. I do know that in 1989 they may have changed the tonneau to accommodate the rear seat belt shoulder harness, and again in mid 1991 or 1992 the tonneau was again changed as they relocated the shoulder belts to the floor. This was so you would not have to plug in the shoulder harness to the lap belt separately like in 89 & 90

Re: Your Convertibles
I would actually be interested in seeing the decal, never seen one that said certified by McLaren, be a neat find indeed...
BTW, there was 82 Camaro Convertibles made in 1986 (according to ASC), and a legendary 3 Firebird verts that same year.

Re: Your Convertibles
I'm surprised that I haven't whored out pictures of my car after paint....
lol

Parked next to my friend's 87 Formula at a car show...

At another car show

Alas, she's back in the garage in pieces as I try to improve some half-@$$ed work that I've done lol.
Now I'm gonna be patient and do things the right way.
lol

Re: Your Convertibles
yeah i swapped out the tired 305 for a performance 350 from jasper in 08....
funny thing is my car isnt labeld at all, no trans am badges no firebird badges. not even so much as a bird on the fenders,
not even on the title...
the vin says trans am... yet i bought the car as it looks exept i changed the hood...
i need the trans am vented hood and some black GTA rims with the polished lip..
and along with the engine swap a stage 1 jet chip was put into the computer and the gov was deleted and computer tuned for more tourqe on the top end.....
if anyone has any extra trans am vert parts let me know!
i need
daytime running lights (with or without lenses)
GTA rims any color will do,
GTA hood.. or aftermarket ram air hood,
2 piece T/A Taillights
rear window (plastic)
or anything else,, im looking to turn my trunk into a power trunk relase
everything else is power but that....

In great shape and a nice car. "loaded with options" stood out a bit as it has no leather, CD player, or the auto (thank god to the latter).
