Where to get replacement bolts for top...
Hey everyone,
I made the mistake of letting my girlfriend drive my car for a day. She put the top up and forgot to latch it near the windshield before she started driving it. Luckily nothing bent, but a bolt head got sheared off. Does GM still supply hardware for the tops, or am I going to have to find another bolt that will work. The bolt that broke is near the top/rear of the driverside window. It has a shoulder on it where a plastic bushing sits.
Thanks in Advance,
Mark B

I Don't Know About.......
....GM having any convertible specific fasteners but you never know.
I would take the similar bolt out of the opposite side and take it to a GM parts counter and see what they say. But in reality they probaby won't have it. There are big hardware stores with large faster selections or even better "screw" companies (stores that cater to businesses and their stock is nothing but fasteners (nuts, bolts, screws, etc)) and they probably would have something like that.
Check the yellow pages or the business directory for your area in Yahoo!
Good luck.

was wondering if you ever found anything I have the same problem but unfortunately on both sides and the bolts were replaced with bolt and nut. so they screwed up the driver side by drilling but I can probably fix that but would still need bolts. LMK Thanks

I cant beleive it. GM acutally had them. (And it only took 3 weeks to come in!!haha) Anway, they made me buy 5 for them even though I only wanted one. Let me know if you want any of the extras. Ill sell them for $5 each shipped. That will cover my cost, Im not trying to make any money, I am just getting my money back.
