Hard "Tonneau" Covers?

Does anyone have one of these for their 'vert? Pictures? Place to find/buy them?

I am talking about the hard "plastic" paintable covers that go on when the top is down and they cover up the back seat, making the car seem like a 2-seater. I have seen them for 4th Gens, but don't know if they make them for 3rd Gens or if they do, where to find them.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Roll bar or cage can look good. I just dont like the straight down back bars most people do.

Had to do mine a little diff.

"Substitute"? If you mean be legal for racing, no. All it is good for is looks and perhaps a very minor improvement in roll-over safety. But no sanctioning race body will accept it in lieu of a welded in roll-bar.

thats a "style bar"

its good only for looks.

its not strong enough to support anything. it doesnt even bolt into anything strong. it has nothign to keep it from folding forward or backward.. and it has nothing in the middle to keep it from folding in.

I had that same idea years ago... Im glad someone else did it, because after seeing it, it doesent look right at all. It makes the already anemic looking rear end look even more anemic.

this guy at the World on Wheels car show at the Edward Jones Dome in st louis had a SWEEEET '91 Z28 convertible. he made a fiberglass tonneu cover that was completely flat and covered the back seats. it looked really good b/c the car was yellow with black stripes and the cover was matched PERFECTLY. and the best part was that it was a 305 TWIN TURBO....5 SPD....yea yea....it was sweet he didn't have any roll bars/cages though, still looked incredible though...i wish i had a picture of it

It could be VERY difficult to make if you have no idea what to do, how to do it or the equipment to make it with........hence why I want one ALREADY MADE!!!!!!

Yea look on ebay, it will only take you a couple of years just to find one. There are very few custom cosmetic parts for our cars even on ebay.

Last time I looked I didn't see any, but the messed up thing about ebay is you could have 50 of them there but if you don't hit on the right search term, you are screwed.
