Ya ought to think about keeping it.... just in case. I have a spare and I'm not letting it go.

 

I have a mint one and the car is far from stock and ever evolving anyway if I kept it it would be just to sell later if interested I would do half of what my other one cost be like $150 but always negot. and would consider trades.

Thats interesting... it looks amazingly alot like a 82-84 Firebird Pocket... It might be a little wider, and the metal corners are not on mine...

I think they are the same ones only they added the screenprint for the 20t anniversary. I got one a while back and there was nothing on it but it was the same size. no brass tips or anything on it.

 

Screenprinting is easy, you could fake it and no one would know... of course the metal corners are interesting, and may create a challenge for recreation..

screenprinting itself yes but I think trying to reproduce the colors would be a challenge. I thought about getting a few made before and by the time I would have been done it wouldn't have been worth it at least not for a small amount.

 

Just out of interest, how are these attached to the dash?

 

there is little plastic push pins that push in to holes in the dash.

 

About 6 of them IIRC, 2 on each end 2 in the center.

well mine is got the corners also, and i saw a guy on e-bay trying to push off a 1988 as a 20th anniversary vert but he does not know that a camaro guy that has the white book would ask him for his vin# what is up with these guys trying to clone a rare car .only 263 rs,s made and 744 of the z,s irocs
made ha ha. any way you can have gm screen print one and keep your reciept, but it will cost you a couple of hundred just to get the set up for printing and they also have a few company,s that they deal with that are certified to print only gm products so check to see if its got a gm certified receipt
