Its actually easy if your good with fiberglass. Stock side caps just need to be filled and trimed to fit.

For the deck lid light cut out. make a sheet metal filler weld it in and your good to go.

CLick these 3 also

No close ups. I can get some when I get a chance to pull the caps out of the rafters in the garage.

If you take the caps off the side flip em upside down. make a fiberglass mix with resin and microbaloons. Fill the cap ends only. Let cure. Cut the ends off where the 92 wing meets/hits the side caps.

I have a coiple of pics of my factory vert spoiler here - 88 IROC PICS

It mounts with screws form under the trunk. It's hard to find the pieces that go down the quarter and and end on the back edge of the door. If you do find them, they are exspensive.

Personally, I wouldn't mold the sidecaps to the spoiler, I'd mold the spoiler to the sidecaps. The spoilers are a lot more common than the side pieces..

You could always take the sidecaps from an 87-90 Firebird, they come up to meet the wing, and then you could modify the high rise meet the spears (or side caps). It might be a stretch but it might give you some ideas.

thanks for the help/ideas guys! I really appreciate it. I think the side caps from a bird would be kinda hard to get a hold of. I still don't know which way i want to go. Maybe I will order a high rise and decide when I get it. I got a lot of other stuff going on right now though, my car is in like 15 different pieces and im trying to get it primered

I have a Hi rise wing I modified a few years ago so people could see what one would look like with no center posts.

I'd sell it if your interested. ( Gotta find it out somewhere in my shop I do belive)

Same way the regular one does: four screws on the sides.

g and t fiberglass is one of the companies that sponsors this site and they make some high rise spoilers with and with out feet. They are made for camaros but TAs and Camaros are the same width right?(never measured but i think so) Anyway if they are the same width you can buy the one for the camaor and choose feet or not and just mount it on.

Becasue of the way you would mount the one without without the feet I don't think it would fit on a vert because of the way the trunk lid goes down just my

i did find out that there was a company that made a high rise for the verts but you just use the stock side caps and done modify them at all. my friend who has a hard top has the high rise that is meant for verts and he said if i really wanted it i could buy it from him but i think im going to invest in some other stuff first before i do this mod. i have no idea what company it was either thats just what he told me.
