Yup today I went and bought a 1991 Z28 convertible, black. It has the 5.0 TPI and auto tranny. Seller swapped in a 3.73 posi 4th gen rear and Z06 rims, but I have a BW 9-bolt and mint 91-92 rims with new tires ready for it. Also has 30th anniversary grey leather seats. Car has to be the most fun thing to drive. She needs a few things, but is for the most part in awesome shape. The paint is like a mirror! Anyway, I'll be posting more in the forum now that I have the car so...here's a couple pics check them out!

Awesome find! Those Z06 wheels actually look damn good on that car!
What size are they? Are you using spacers?
All the car needs is a lowering, and it will look perfect!

Yeah it looks like the fronts have spacers. the rears don't because the car has a 4th gen rear in it. as much as i know it may upset some of my friends and the folks here, i will be replacing that rear. i have a 3.27 posi BW 9 bolt for the car and a set of the 91-92 Z28 rims with new rubber waiting to go on. when i bought the car, the deal didn't include the rims, and i don't want them anyway. i like the 91-92 Z style better. maybe it's just me, but that's how it goes.

but before all that i gotta put a new water pump on the car. the one it has now leaks like crazy. the plate behind the pump sprung a leak. but it's only $30 and no biggie; i knew about it when i got the car. but a $30 water pump isn't enough to make me say no to a car that nice

You bought that car from a guy over on Mofbody.com who goes by the name 92orange. I was trying to work out a deal for that car + cash for the '90 IROC-Z I've got at my house, but it didn't work out. That's definatly a nice score on your part, I would have loved to own that thing.

That seems kind of fishy to me, because when I asked him about the price of the car to buy it out right he said "$3,500 the way it sits right now" which would include the wheels and the rear end since they were on the car. Did you not pay $3,500 for it?

Yeah I paid $3500 for it. I don't really want the rims honestly. The tires are worn quite a bit and I have a set of 91-92 style rims for it with new tires ready to go on. I'm also gonna sell him back the rear end because I have a BW 9 bolt 3.27 posi, also wth new brakes (EVERYTHING) ready for it. the car also has KYB struts up front and new steering, along with new shocks and bushings out back. Also has fairly new brakes it looks like.

I still think I got a good deal.

So then how much extra cash is he going to give you for the wheels and rear?
