'91 convert trunk rebuild

I am in the process of rebuilding my '91 camaro convert. I'm up to the point where I'm trying to get what is now a mess of wires in the trunk into a working arrangement. I have many questions. I have the chevy service manual but it doesn't go into the convert to well.

1) Does anyone know the proper bulb number for the center high mount stop light? 5165 isn't it.

2) My center high mount stop light is not getting any power to it. I've checked the fuse, of course. I see that it goes under the trunk lid to the switch mounted on the underside of the lid.

3) Does anyone have a schematic for the convert trunk. The interaction between the pull down motor, top release, trunk light and switch on the lid is as clear as mud to me.

4) On the left side of the pull down motor is a relay. What relay might that be?

Thanks for any help I can get

Re: '91 convert trunk rebuild

I am tackling something similar. Be carefull as there seems to be changes that occured half way through the year such as how the power makes it to the 3rd brake light (contacts versus a wire along the hinge).

The hatch motor thing is easy, it is the same as in the coupes. I think the relay is for if the toneau is open or not (prevent damage). If you need pictures let me know, I have lots.

I have an oddity myself, there are two connectors for the trunk light. Not sure why I have 2.
