is my vert valuable?
i have a 88 iroc.... no longer has original:
motor, doors, fenders, hood, seats, or bumper....and has a salvaged title.
if not, oh well.. bought it for $300 running.

no it's not valuable , but worth $300.00 for parts alone . good luck , sounds like you have a real project .

Re: is my vert valuable?
I guess it would depend on what you want to do with it. I would buy something like that for parts personally.
1) a salvaged title means its worth about Half of a car with a clean title. Of course I have experienced that it is closer to 75%.
2) If the pieces and parts LOOK correct it goes a long way
Why do you ask?

The drivers door would mean the most. Its the one that would have the ASC sticker on it.
If you just want it to be a car to show what your shop is capable of, you picked a good one. Not many around and they draw some attention even in stock looks.

Re: is my vert valuable?
I'm making an ASSumption your shop is a body shop? If that's the case, I'm sure that you'll make your $300 back on it should you decide to sell it. If it's 5 different colors right now, you will have a hell of a "before" and "after" look to it.
My Trans Am has a "salvage" title. But it also has a 5 speed and the fact that they were only made in 91 and 92 will offset some of that.... well at least I keep telling myself that.

Re: is my vert valuable?
on the dor issue. i was going to cut out the asc sticker and info and weld it on the donor car so it will look authentic..... but some idiot threw the old door out. i made my money back on it already (well the 300 anyway) by selling the old bumper and seat. and yes its a paint and a car audio shop. so it will come out real nice. thanks again for everyone input

The silverish one on mine I am pretty sure is related to the alarm system that was installed by the dealer.

Re: is my vert valuable?
Regarding Camaros . . . power tops were available in all 3 years of the 1st gens, and 4th gens from '94 - '02 (there was no '93 convertible).
All 3rd gen tops were manual.
And unfortunitly 2nd gen never had the option of the convertible.
Any exceptions would be customised rides.
Now, I might be wrong, but I don't think any were fully automatic. I think most needed some sort of human intervention, like releasing a latch, etc.
Let me know if I stand corrected.

i believe your right.. on my 88 we're in the process on making it automatic, like the stangs. hopefully it works because i hate doing it manually.

Would be pretty cool. You could then drop while sitting at a red light and show off.

Re: is my vert valuable?
you have to have someone host it, For example I host mine on my webspace where my website is located... Then you link to the image on your web site. There is a board for this.
