After attending a car show this weekend. I have decided paint is in order for my car, along with 2 new fenders. Since I dont like red I am trying to decide on other colors. Can you list what color(s) your car is?

If your a non factory color, you can post a pic if you want. But IMO if your a factory color, just list as factory xx. Most of us will know it.


Body: half factory red, half dodge PR4 red (about 2 shades off)
Top: Black
Inside: Black

 

I think yellow would look really good with your Black interior & black top

of course I am partial to yellow.

My car is the factory Ultra Metallic Blue, however my fiance's car is a Ford color called Light Toreador Metallic or something along those lines. It came on Explorers/Expeditions/Mustangs.

 

both images are the same color just changed back to stock hood. Cadillac CTS White Diamond

 

BlueZee ... your GF's car color is awesome. The perfect burgundy. Too bad Ford had to come up with it.

I always wanted to paint mine Mazda's metallic red that they use on the RX8's, but I am going back with factory bright red to retain the stock look.

But, since you don't like red, that white Caddy color ain't to bad.

And, if you always plan on keeping it clean, you can't go wrong with black. Triple black is bad-a$$. Ohhhhh!! I know!! My wife's '05 Volvo is Black Sapphire Metallic. It has the beauty of black with a little kick ... and it doesn't show dirt quite as bad as a true black. Here's a link:

You can't see the specks of metallic in the photo too much, and the car in the pic is a little dirty, but this color is HOT.


Oh, and Nick, I don't want to hijack this thread but I have to ask you about your GF's car ... did you paint the engine bay the same color?

 

DAmn nice cars everyone.( im jealous) . MIne is faded black, with a crappy vinyl top. Im hoping to have the car complete and in the body shop this time next year. Im going with PPG's super black.

 

We painted the hood "jams" where the hood rests when it's closed, but that's about it. The rest of the underhood area is the stock red, however we did remove the door panels, door molding/trim, hatch, all that jazz and painted all the door jams and the hatch the new metallic red color. We even painted behind the tail lights and behind where the rear plate goes.

 

I like that white. I had also thought of the mid 90's 3000gt white.

I will not go black. Ive already had one, never again.. but damn they look good when clean.

Kat painted his car the same I wanted. UGH. Gotta keep looking.

Mine was white when I bought it. I thought I could get used to it. I couldn't. It needed a paint job when I got it and I just couldn't take it any more... so when it came to putting the money into it I decided to make it the color I wanted. The car has a salvage title, so I wasn't worried about ruining the "originality"

Im not trying to take over this thread but blueZee28 where did you get your wheels. Im looking for new ones and the chrome ones on the red iroc are really nice. COuld you say where you got them from or who makes them.

I have an black 89' Iroc-z convertible.

I made the ones that posed with mine take the shoes off. Of course, they had stilletos(sp?). I was worried the heels would rip thru.

 

I have got a factory white with a black top and grey interior(going black)

 

At times, I regret the color change from "Flash Red" (or soemthing) to what I got which is the ever-popular "Candy Apple Red Metallic".
