New guy with Iroc

Hi guys, I have a story for you guys and maybe you can help me out. My best fried past away over the winter of cancer. Well he had a 87 vert black Iroc that has been sitting for about 5 yrs or so, I bought it from his wife for 500.00 dollars, I don't know alot about verts but I can tell ya this, its a 87, black with grey interior, tuneport 305, auto, it has rear disk brakes and has a posi, thats all I know about it so far. It needs a new top the window has a rip in it and it needs a good cleaning and scrubbing. I saved her from rotting away, I just hope I can het her back to tip top shape. I will post pics soon!!

Re: New guy with Iroc

it'd be cool to restore it to factory and keep it in memory of your friend. maybe get a small, tasteful decal made and put it over the emblem on the pass. side of the dash.

Welcome. Sounds like you have a great project with that convertible.
Cost = $500.00. Value = priceless.
I'm glad to hear your friend's ride found a good home.
Look forward to seeing the pics and progress.

Re: New guy with Iroc

Sweet looking vert there dude,hopefully I can get the body straight enough on mine to go black,that's my favorite.I think the factory color on mine was like the red one next to it in the one pic.I have found that shade of red under it with some gold showing under some chipped paint.

Yea I like black, I got both Irocs for 1000.00! The red one is a 1988 with 50,000 miles.

Yea I think the car was repainted at one time. The inside is grey so would the Iroc stickers be red???
