There is a guy that says he has a TTA on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwdUv...eature=channel
He was complaining that he couldn't get a good trade in value for a rav-4. Mabe some one could get in contact with him and take it off his hands I would but no money.

Ok first off I will say I'm not much of a bird man but I have never heard of a TTA convertible. Also this guy doesn't appear to be to sharp as he took the original wheels off the car to preserve the original tires but thinks that putting a small block v8 would be better than the turbo v6 that is supposedly under the hood (notice no underhood pics.)
It looks like a very nice car but I am skeptical that this is an actual TTA maybe his story is right and there was only 3 of these cars made but the guy doesn't seem to understand how cool theses cars are so I'm doubting he really knows what he's talking about.

Re: TTA on youtube
Unless someone went to a lot of trouble to do a conversion, that is real. Has the badges, the exhaust tips, the right rear seats (I'd like to see what they did to make them fit right with the tonneau cover) and there is another vid the guy put up that shows the correct gauges and it sounds like a 3.8 to me and the boost gauge functions so... I'd say its what he says it is.

GM did not offer a factory convertible TTA. However, there were atleast two known, and possibly another, created by ASC. https://www.thirdgen.org/1989-pontiac-firebirdOriginally Posted by hardon85

Doesn't say, but it looks like the odometer hasn't turned 10K.
I interpreted the comments as sarcasm.

So I know this is kind of a stupid question but would this be the most valuable 3rd gen ever? If it is legit I would sure think so being 1 of 2 or 3 made and being a TTA on top of that.
Re: TTA on youtube
The TTA verts over time probably will be the most valuable of the "production" cars, although the Firehawk TA vert would really be the rarest (1 of 1).

The other vid says 9k original miles. Probably is, the interior is spotless.Originally Posted by JT

I apparently missed it. I watched both videos twice and thought the driving video was pretty good. I never heard him mention the mileage or really as much about the TTA as opposed to his camera/phone. Then I see 9K mileage is listed in the title of the video. Oops.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I KNOW there were at least two made.... There is however legend that there was a third.
The one pictured there I beleve was the one originally sold in California... It has been sold twice and on its third owner... If this is the car that I think it is, I believe this car was ordered as a T-top TTA, then drop shipped to ASC, converted then shipped to the dealership. More or less the car was always a convertble, never titled while a coupe..
The other known TTA convertible was one of the 5 Test cars for PAS. It has a lower VIN than the first car mentioned above but was sent to ASC after the one above by an executive and converted after the fact. This car is now in GA and owned by an individual. The car in the video clearly shows Leather so it is not the cloth TTA vert.

I can't tell if that guy is a total poindexter or if he actually knows what he has and how valuable it is. Heck maybe he is both.... Hope he takes good care of it...
