hello, Im new here and have a question. I will rebuild my pontiac firebird 1991 with t-top to a convertible one. does anyone of you have any experiences with a rebuilt of a t-tops firebird to a convertible. are the body of both cars the same or are the bodies of the convertible ones stronger. please helb me.

 

Only one person that I know of has ever attempted this type of conversion. It's just not very practical. The cost of doing it would be WAY more $$$ than just buying one. They made 950 '91 Firebirds (not including the 555 Trans Am verts) which isn't a whole lot but definitly not rare.
And all this doesn't even including figuring out all the engineering, trying to source parts, fit and finish of the body work, making sure it all works, etc, etc.

If you have lot's of money & time and want to do this just for your own reasons, then go for it. It's been a popular topic and has been discussed here before. Try a search. Here are some posts from other who have also thought about it . . .
