trying to rescue a 91 trans vert

Picking it up this week, 91 trans am vert with 5 speed. Its my buddies mom's car. she stop driving it in 97 b/c the top had a hole in it. they never fixed it, so the past 13 yrs it has sat out side in the weather and the hole has gotten alot bigger. the hole now is where the window used to be. The outside of the car isn't that bad of shape. interior is going to be mostly scraped.
First thing is first, I have to figure out if the motor is capable of working.
I'll try to post some pictures later this week. And by the way I got the car for free. I got lucky.

Mybuddy's dad own's and runs a yamaha shop and several peices of property around here, so he has some money. but when they are tired of something they just push it to the side.

for the car in the feild i say ask around about it, if theres no one who owns it, tow it back to your house and get a lost title or something from sec of state, my dad used to it all the time, if no one owns it then its not a crime,,, your getting rid of lot garbage, when you do it act like your the owner, wear a baseball cap or something then just hooker up and go, as for the car being in park, try to get in it and pull it into "N" if that doesnt work, get under it disable the shifting linkage and do it that way, then get a car dolly and yoyu know the rest,

but do not hold me responsible for anything YOU make the choice to do, im simply throwing out ideas here,

as for the camaro go for it dont hesitate it could be gone by the time you really want to pick it up or something, then youll be kicking yourself for not going sooner,
