Custom 6pt roll bar

I am currently having my fabricator fabricate a custom 6pt roll bar for me, just wanted to show off some pics. a couple days he will be done with it and then move on to my custom supercharger piping. The cage is all chromoly and it will have swing out bars. these cars just have way to much flex, even with sub frame connectors and strut tower brace. i think i am going to have the cage painted white as well.

Wow, that is looking substantial! It will ride better than any hardtop.

Looks like some top class welding there.

Re: Custom 6pt roll bar

if you could add a low nascar style door bar, it would really help stiffen he car up and should not get in the way too much when getting in and out. Im talking under the arm rests maybe

looks good though!

Are you going to put the back seat back in when the rollbar is finished?

Re: Custom 6pt roll bar

You definitely NEED to paint the cage white. It will make the cage look like it 'belongs' in the car.

Sick looking cage bro! Looks similar to the one in my hardtop.

How do you feel it would ride better than any hardtop? Are you saying its because its stiffer? Slap a cage into a hardtop. It will make a vert look like a limp noodle.

I wont be able to take any pics until i get the car back, those where sent to me through the fabricators phone and the image blurs of the whole car on his phone. Right now my car is about 300 miles away. he is currently fabricating my supercharger piping right now and that wont be done for about a week and a half cause the custom intercooler is on backorder. Probably by april i will have new pics, with the new wheels, paint, suspension, roll cage etc. got a ton of stuff done to this car.

Re: Custom 6pt roll bar

From looking at the pics, i don't even think its possible to put the back seats back in, there's no way they would lock into place up top with the roll bar coming down onto the hump there. Looks nice!

Re: Custom 6pt roll bar

Looks good. Brings back memories of my old vert.

BlueZee your correct with the X brace like that the back seat wouldnt fit and sit right. When my rear seat was back in it was straight up n down. http://www.cecoatings.com/images/Car...e/DSC02263.JPG

Go diggin thru here for more pic's

Looks great! I think I might do swing_outs finally after seeing yours. Ive been hopping over my door bar for MANY years. In my process of making it more streetable, swingouts will be added to the list of things to do.

Cant wait to see it run!!

My fabricator is in san diego, since everyone is asking how much i paid for the roll bar. I paid 1800 for the chromoly 6 pt x brace cage with swing outs.
