Unless its a new one, that recall has been around for years.

If its for the seatbelts:
Your experience will prob. be the same as mine.................
The BLOWOFF !
I called the Chevy 800 number and several dealers and got the DUH what recall????......OR the car is too old routine.
If your belt release buttons are broken you can DIY and still find the recall fix kit at some dealers/on line or here in the parts for sale section.

Ditto. They don't care about you since you're car is way too old. Or they'll tell you that your car did not have a recall even though it did. LOL. I guess you can't force em..
But the kit is super cheap (16 bucks) and easy to do (the first one may be tricky and take your time not to crack the housing since it's old and brittle). You get all new springs and shiny orange buttons lol.. And they come with this metal support bracket which I think holds the buckle better in place although it's optional I believe.

my car came with the letter
I called a dealer and read the letter
they got the parts Abt 5bucks and installed them free of. charge
did it last summer! they look a little different and wrap some silver to the inner edge but still stock so I am cool with it
the older ones had aged a bit and wern't as bright orange

Exactly HOW did you FORCE them ????????
Well anyhoo I got a set of female ends with the plastic stiffeners out of a 75 cutlass
that my buddy was junking. They worked with my stock male belts.
Cost nothing and no screwing with GM 800# folks or the clueless unhelpful dealers!

Fit perfect and cost nothing!

I had my ride done when it was about 11 years old (That was 12 years ago! Where does time fly?!!!!). Here's a copy of my receipt with the recall nyumbers, etc. Maybe this will help you out.
