Anyone know what the bulb number is That are in the rearview mirror?

 

i did that mod on my 'vert and I was thinking they were just 194's, but its been a while. I will look at my "extra" parts and find one with a bulb in it. If I'm wrong, I will post the correction.

 

I want to put the bright LED and there but I'm not sure what bulbs they have

 

I replaced them with leds a long time ago, the parts store guys will tell you the alternative #'s for them.

 

They ARE 194 bulbs. I just checked an old mirror I had and that is what they use.

post how good they work when you get them in and maybe I'll change mine too!

 

So far I haven't been able to make the bulbs fit in the socket.. I need to find an LED bulb that isn't so big

I wondered when you said 5 bulb led how big they were probably gonna be. I would compare a 194 to a led off the shelf with the same base and go that route if you want the extra white light. Just guessing I would think a 3 bulb led would be about as big as would possibly fit. I work on electronics too so I realize how physically big it would be. Keep it posted and when I go into Orielly's tomorrow (long story, I also mess with DSM's a little) I'll check out what they have.
