I have a problem with the conv frame, as shown in the attached pictures. I need a frame piece, but thusfar have had no luck in locating one. Does anyone have the frame piece required for sale? I recently got my Z car repainted, and now need to replace the top, but need this frame piece fixed as well....I asked about this around a year ago but no one had the piece at that time....maybe now will be different.

Suggestions welcome....can I maybe get a metal shop or someone to manufacture this piece? Thanks for all assistance with this...

Check EBAY, I see full frames on there or parts from time to time. I am too looking for parts for mine and have had a hard time so far.

Is it actually broken or do you just need the pivot bolt?

 

No, the metal frame piece that the pivot bolt screws into is physically broken....split in half. I need that frame piece, and a pivot bolt....

 

Ok....I found a part on EBAY....but it is for a 1992 convertible. Top Frame side rail driver side....looks like what I need....but the ad mentions that there is a spring attached that may not be for earlier models. Can this be used without the spring? I have added a couple of pics of the part....and I have emailed the seller with same question....

 

Chatted with the seller, and am convinced that this is the part I need.....so I purchased it. When I receive it I can continue with replacing my car top.

 

hi where can I get that pivot bolt, my dad gave me a 1990 iroc z as my first car and it was missing a bolt. I know how much that car meant to him so I've decided on restoring it to its full worth. Any links or tips would be very appreciated
