For your WTF pleasure...
Re: For your WTF pleasure...
I am all about factory look in these cars and don't care much for when someone tampers with body lines. Believe it or not, I kinda like the concept. But I have a soft spot for 1st gens. It would need the tail reworked in a similar manner though. It just doesn't go with the front.

Sadly it was probably worth what he is asking before he "invested" over $10,000 in it.
Now I'm not so sure.

Ditch the GFX, reshape the tail and graft in some 1G tails it could actually work to some degree. At least its a camaro/camaro merger. I have seen worse for sure.
On a personal taste note, i don't think either generation looks good with a bug catcher. It just doesn't fit the personality of the car.

Re: For your WTF pleasure...
I like it. The 67-68 RS cars had a great nose like the 70-73 Trans am. The 69 rs was not quite as good looking but they made it so you could see if the doors didn't open at night. They guy had an itch and the talent to scratch it. It is definately a one of. This makes me think of the 70 and 71 cudas. I am a chevy guy and I know they all look at what each other is doing. But the 70-71 Cuda looks INCREDIBLY like a 69 camaro. Is it me or was that a little over the line. When the Mustang came out GM made a pony car but it didn't look anything like a Mustang. They made a better looking pony car. Dodge made essentially a 69 Camaro with a different grill, tail lights, door handles etc. Mostly small stuff. The hood and doors might interchange they look so similar.

Re: For your WTF pleasure...
There is a car that I've seen at local shows that started out as a 4th gen Firebird and was re-skinned as a '67 or '68 Firebird. Rolling down the road you would think that it is a fgf but when you see it up close, the differences show up. The interior is all 4th gen including the dash and console. The sheetmetal had to be widened to fit. All in all the work was done very professionaly. The finished product looks very good (I'm not a fan of the color scheme he chose but that is personal choice and I don't hold that against him).

Re: For your WTF pleasure...
yeah, seeing them side by side like that I agree. The really bad digital skip on the hood of the white car messes with my eyes. It looks like it has kind of a "bulge" that tapers to a point... oh well not important. :P
It's pretty close to the 308, but they fell plenty short of a full replica.
I cant get over the grand am wheels...

It is called a Machavelli... It was a kit car back int he 80's... There are a few out there...
Personally Change the wheels and it would look a lot better.
Can someone explain how this is even remotely convertible related?
