88 vert frame tweaked. hit the lotto at the yard will this work
So like I said I have an 88 iroc vert that the top frame is slightly bent the pass corner main bow. flip rod is fubar... went to the jyard and stumbled upon a 91 rs vert ....frame is great has the two round flip rods one each side moved up and down flawlessly(my 88 has a single flat rod on d side.. grabbed the complete frame and the 2 metal plates that were on the 91 s windshield frame. 2 bolts and 2 rivets on. Each one.. also grabbed. The selinoids and latch mechanisms (tanneu was gone).... so question is can I swap the new frame to my 88 with the. Parts. I picked up is the rear pin on the 88 tonnaue the same.. thanks. For the input.. I only paid 100 for the lot. Also got. The two trim pieces that go. On the door jamb they r grey but. I have black onesalready so just pickex them. Up

Yep I have. Just have to make sure the screw style latches are all the way forward when you fasten them to the windshield frame.

I put a 91 frame on my 88.

Thank u so much for the info I was tryn to put the plate with the screw hole in it in beetween instead of on the bottom.. did u have to mod the middle mount for the plastic header windshield piece... I got the one for the screw latches and the hole seems to be in a different spot thanks in advance thought I was alone on this one..

fyi the Camaros originally came as a t-top car, they cut it at asc and convertibles were born so the theres no difference in structure only the mounting brackets for the frame

the tops are different between some of the years. depending how much you change to the 91 top you may need the newer style top as well. if just changing a few parts out then maybe not. not sure how much you changed between the 2 tops

A drill careful to not press to hard cause it will dent the windshield frame outward
