Looking for opinions on what a 92 vert 25th anniversary z28 is. 305 5 speed. Has 4th gen seats and steering wheel. Interior is intact but filthy. Some additional info. Car does not run. They believe the fuel pump is out. 115xxx showing on odo.

If it’s a bucket list car and you want a project to restore to factory it could be fun, but expensive and time consuming to do...
A mint one with low miles could be in the $30k range these days but you’d probably be into this one $20k and it wouldn’t be worth the restoration cost.
even fixing it up just to drive is going to be throwing away money...
4th Gen seats in 3rd Gens bothers me too... I’d have to put it back to original... This car in factory form cannot be improved upon IMO...
cool car but a money pit...
Shouldn’t it have Z03 on the RPO to be an anniversary car?
Since there's no way to drive the car, and it appears that it has sat in a chicken coop for years, the potential buyer must assume the worst-case---that the engine is junk, the interior and likely the wiring has been invaded and ruined by rodents, the brake system destroyed by corrosion, and the car requiring a complete repaint (with all that that implies), buy it for $1500 cash. This also assumes that there is no rust in the floors; if there is, walk away unless you're buying a parts car for $500.
It's a d**n shame that car was allowed to rot away like that. It's going to cost a pile of $$$ to bring that car back from the dead now, rather than a relatively small cost if it had been repaired rather than just parked. Seeing 3rd gens in this condition just pi$$es me off.
If you decide to take on this big project, all the knowledge required to do so can be found on this site.

GL.
I would agree also. Go with $1500 cash, offer that to them, if they say "no", leave and let him know the offer will stand for 24 hours.... He may change his mind once you leave... It would be a nice car fixed up, and depending on your mechanical ability, you may be up to the task.
It would depend on like the others have said about the rust first and foremost, the interior's overall shape (dirt is not a problem), and what is hiding under that hood. IF, the car is solid, and stuff is not screwed with (wire hacks, whole interior swapped out, motor missing the whole intake, etc. etc. It's is in my opinion definitely worth the $3500 if it is all there...all day long. I could have that car looking and running like it has been in a climate controlled garage all its life for 10 to 12K easy. I believe that car in that shape (great) would be worth that or more. (ask one of the members here who have even a higher mileage one in great shape to sell you theirs for way less) (wink). Then take care of it, have fun with it, and it will only go up in value (albeit slowly). If you only want to flip it, and had to ask here, I don't think it will go well.
Ironwill is right on...$1500 and not a penny more. This car is a pile of mismatched parts, missing fog lights and just neglected for way to long. The icing on the walk away cake is it does not run. Unless you are looking for a serious project, have the time, skills and $$ this would be be perfect. If you are looking for a third gen to clean up and cruise in on sunny days then this is a no deal. IMHO I think this 3rd gen is a lost cause which makes me sad
If you decide to pass on this let me know where it is. I can't use it but I know someone who can. It always depends on rust but it would be great if the car could be saved. Worst case scenario , there are lots of convertible parts there.
Where I am that car would be somewhat sought after, up North where rust claimed many of these someone would take that on just to avoid rust repair. The 5 speed also makes it cool too, I would be into that for $2-2500. I can see why someone from a place that has regular access to rust free cars would run away from this one though.
I'd also want to be in that car for $1,500. The car has had a repaint, and the headlight buckets were just painted over with white, door handles painted white, etc. It makes me feel like the car wasn't taken apart to be painted. It could be a hot mess after you get it cleaned up. It's also not a "true" Anniversary model with no ZO3 on the RPO codes. It also needs the hood blisters. I dunno....I'd be in at $1,500 but I'd want to look it over good before I'd give any more than that. BUT, after looking it over and it does appear to be a solid, good car....I would definitely go higher on price. $3,500?????......maybe. Just depends. It has tons of potential. Make sure the top is good. You can get around $1,500 wrapped up in a new top
I bought a much nicer one for $5,300 last year... but that was probably luck.... i have such a sweet spot for 92s..... and 92Zs are not common... 5 speed and vert... i would have to grab it... I never see them.
there is a lot not seen in the photos... yes the hood blisters are missing.. its not a Z03 car.... but i'd be in at $3k.... in NY those cars are not easy to find... and it doesnt look rusted out but i would have to dig into it...
I like project cars that i bring back from the dead... i enjoy figuring it out... sometimes you make money, sometimes not.... I always have my 92Z to drive while i do...
If i didn't have my hands full bringing an 88 IROC G92 Vert back from the dead right now i would want to go get it... but that's me....

Re: Opinions
It depends on what you intend to do with it. Having 115K means you might as well drive it.
Body looks ok, don't see much wrong there, other than the IROC hood, which who cares if you are going to just enjoy it. I bet it smells like dirt and mouse pee inside, so you will be either replacing interior pieces or driving a lot with the top down. The floors are probably rusty as it is sitting on dirt, which means that anything underneath will be a dirty PITA to do...
I would say $2000 tops, but it might clean up, a new fuel pump, filter and some new injectors it might just fire up no problem...
If you can get into it cheap and do all your own work, you might be able to flip it. But that might be a stretch, you never know what you are getting into...

The body does look straight and its actually not sitting in the dirt although it looks like it is. I am going to go look at it again. I am thinking ill make the offer of $1500 with a max of $2000 and see how it goes. I wouldnt really be looking to flip it. I just think it would be cool to have a gen 3 camaro to go with my 88 GTA. Id put the wife in it probably. I will let you guys know how it goes.
