Fan mounting + Griffin radiator

Ok I am going to be purchasing a Griffen radiator and a B&M tranny cooler to replace my stock radiator.

Is there a big problem or disadvantage to mouting the electric fans directly to the radiator with those zip tie like mounts that they come with?

Is there an advantage to mounting the fans so they do not touch, and have some air space between the blades and the radiator?

With the Griffen radiator, how do I salvage my heater use.
I saw some1 mention a T fitting for the water pump, does anyonw know for sure if this will work?

I'll take some pix of mine when I get home and put 'em up here for ya.

If I forget, don't hesitate to remind me via email,

Steve

Just be careful how to pass them through the radiator. I used a phillips screwdriver to gently spread the fins apart. I have twin flexalite fans mounted to the rad, but would like to fab a mount for them off the support rather than those big zip ties.

Okay, here ya go:

I found this radiator hose "T" fitting at the local Advance Auto Parts shop. I couldn't tell you what it was from, so you'll just have to go look around and fake it till you make it. It originally had hoses on both ends of it, but I cut them off JUST to get the hard plastic T fitting.

And finally, so you can see the line coming down to the "T":

Good luck with it, and if you have any more questions you can either post them here (in the hopes that I'll see it) or email me directly.
