I bought one a few weeks ago, it's sitting in my closet for when I've got time to put it on. They are supposed to flow 40% more, which will be nice. I've heard good things, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. I'll post after I put it on, that should be next week sometime.

Here's a picture of the Stewart Stage 1 cast iron water pump. It uses high quality sealed shaft bearings and I heard Nascar engines use Stewart water pumps.

Is there any advantage to the Stage II besides weight? And approx what is the weight savings?

I looked at the site and although they say "high flow" they don't say how much of an improvement over the stock pump. The only reason I am curious is because I just put a pump on my 98 blazer. I used an OE and since all GM replacements are now new unit's there was no core return. I took a look at the old unit's impeller and I just can't see how modifying it can develop a flow 40% greater without enlarging the input and output lines. I am almost tempted to buy one and run a calibrated flow test, anybody ever compare them? Doubting Dan

i just put in a stage two water pump in my 91 rs. i would highly recommend it to anyone.. the differences between stage 1 or two other then weight and wont matter unless you really going to do alot. the reason a got stage to is im going to do a head and cam swap soon and leady have a 2400 rpm stall and 323 posi rear end so i can revs alot higher.
