i was wondering if my blower is bad as well as the compressor.

i have 1992 camaro RS 305TBI

i still have the orginal compressor and it was serviced this year and my mechanic said its not gonna make another summer. this is whats happening; during the summer cold air trickles out of the vents and in the winter the heat trickles out and is not so hot its just kinda warm

you probably need a new blower.. just make sure that u have it on MAX a\c.. and check to see if it maybe blows out more air on the fan speed that is before HIGH. because there is a seperate relay\switch for when u turn the fan speed to HIGH.. so maybe its just that is scewing up...

 

Hi You might also check the vacuum line from the engine is connected. The heater system uses vacuum powered valves to open the flaps which control the heat flow.

 

yeah check sounds like the blower motor, just the connections arouns it (maybe a loose) or maybe its in a relay or some kinda eletronic part went bad..

maybe run a search on here and see if someone had close to the same problem..

 

i was messing around under the hood yesterday, and noticed that most of my vaccum hose were rotten...i even found that some dumba$$ had disconnected the egr valve....also found the hose that deals with the ac was disconnected and ball bearing was shoved inside the hose.....
