additional cooling fans

ok, i got my hands on a dual cooling fan setup for a sentra, my ta is currently single fan, it holds its own but when i crank up the a/c, i can only hope to stay at 230. my question isif i mount them in front of the condenser, will they hinder the performance of the origional single fan when it comes on? i plan to install them so they come on manually or with a/c. besides the beating that the altinator will take, would there be any other forceable problems?

thanks

Never mount a Pusher fan in front of the radiator if you're already using a Puller fan from behind the radiator because the two fans will want to cancel each other out.

??? Cancel each other out? Not at all, the additional fan added to the front will not really help with running hot. It will help the A/C system with the additional airflow across the condenser.

I have run dual IROC fans and two additional pusher fans in front of the condenser. It helped a little with the temp and my A/C did blow a little cooler but the only real solution was to replace all the fans with Spal dual 11" fans. The stock ones couldn't keep my modified engine cool in 95° weather with A/C running full blast at a drive thru or stopped at a train crossing.

The addition of a Pusher fan in front of the Condensor to get extra airflow for the AC is not worth the little improvement in cooler inside temps and the extra work the alternator has to provide. Also, the Pusher fan is blocking the airflow path in front of the Radiator and Condensor causing the Puller fan to work inefficiently. The best way to get more airflow is to install two high quality High flow 12" electric fans or a 16" mechanical fan and shroud.
