Rad swap
The rad in my car is leaking and I need to replace it. I was wondering if there is another "stock" rad that I could swap in instead that will improve my car's cooling ability.
I swapped in a mild performance 350 in for the 305 and now it runs HOT. What is a good swap w/o breaking the bank?

How much are you wanting to spend? I just put a Griffin rad in a 92 camaro. He purchase the univeral 31x19 and the fit was fine. We had to do a little work to the stock piece that goes across the rad but we got everything to work. The car runs around 160-170 and it take forever to heat up. The rad. was 189.00 from Summit. You might want to look into something like that if you can afford it.

Or if you wanting to go cheap, Autozone, maybe some of the others, have 3-row replacement radiators for around a $100. The only benifit I see with these though, besides the extra row in the radiator, is the sides are not plastic like the stock one are.

I got an all aluminum (no plastic tanks) radiator for my '85 Z from Performance Radiator for around $190. I never had another radiator problem after that where as every 3rdgen with the factory radiator that I've owned (4 of them) has leaked eventually.
