i had the same problem a little while back.. i diagnosed it as being the heater diverter valve. its that goofy looking mushroom thing, check to see if it has the vac. line atteched right and stuff.

It could also be the vacuum line to the air diverter flap actuators, if you have the later model.

Third thermostat or third heater core.?

My IROC never gets above 150*, and my heat is never warm either. It's just like outside air. Where would the heater divertor valve be?

IIRC...mine doesnt have one..its on the passenger side of the engine bay, just follow the heater lines from the firewall, its a little black housing I believe

Did you install the the front of the heater box right? I know there is a wire that opens and closes the vent to let the hot air through. Just a thought, everything else have been brought upi that I can think of.

My friend finally figured out why my heat wasn't working. The cable that connects to the Cold/Hot lever had come undone from the cold/hot air switch by the heater core, so it was stuck on cold air.

Make sure it's completely full of antifreeze. How does the antifreeze look? If it's full of gunk, you might have plugged the heater core. Have you tried a new heater valve, or just bypassed the heater valve?
