fan cutting on at 230

fan cutting on at 230

my fans do not come on till around 230....is this the normal turn on temperature?

hate to tell you, but, yes - that's the temp... better off getting a lower temp switch...

one should come on at around 227 and the other around 238..

Order a Buick GN fan switch from GM i think it was like $16 or so. It comes on alot earlier....like around 180. Well worth it. Drove my car in bumper to bumper traffic in Boston quite a bit this summer and my baby never overheated.

Can u give a part # for that fan switch from GM for the Buick GN and what year/motor to ask for if no part # is availible....thanks

I don't remember the part #, just ask for the fan switch for an '87 GN (thats a 3.8L), and you should be fine.
