Any Tip's?

Going to install new head gaskets. Already pulled heads off today. Anything I should know before I put the thing back together.

well first of all you might want to use new head bolts depending on age and milage of the car, secondly make sure to tighten them down with the right amoount of torque, and last make sure that after you are done, lightly break in the new head gasket, what i mean by that is drive it fairly slow for the first couple hundred miles so the new gasket settles in
hope that helps

head gasket

dont know if you already have the heads on but make sure you scraped all the old gasket material off really well and maybe even lightly sand paper it like 300 grit and clean out the cylinders while your in there. also since you took the distributer out make sure you get the exact timing! if you need help on timing let me know i've done it all
good luck

Well I just want this motor to last alittle longer. I'm building a different motor for it(350). Just bought the heads this week. Edelbrock aluminum performers. Still have alot left I need. My motors tbi but I'm get tpi from a friend. I'm going for 300 rear wheel hp at about 5500rpm but I'll see what happens. At least I have accsess to a dyno. Ive been really looking in the tbi to tpi conversion. Seems pretty simple they even use the same ecm. Should have the motor finished in a few months.
