i wouldnt know what tem it is getting too because the temp guage will not work (although when i start the car it does shoot all the way up and then back down to where it stays forever).
70 degrees out and the car gets hot after 8-10 minutes of easy driving. now when the car is hot, is it supposed to lack power and choke when you step on the gas? i wish i knew why my cooling fans werent working and i do not know if my water pump even works too.

you can check to see if your fan comes on by turning your ac on (if you have it), your fan should come on no matter what. you could also forget about all the rest of the crap and take a jumper wire and connect it to the battery and the hot wire of the fan and then ground it and it should come on if your fan motor isnt burnt out, and if it does then you know your prob is somewhere else.

MdFormula350, how can you use the bottom diagram you posted to wire the fans to come on all the time?

it depends on how you want both fans to turn on. but pretty much just splice a jumper into both F wires. the ECM SHOULD be able to handle the extra voltage.

well the reason i want to do this is because my fans wont come on by themselves...instead of having a switch i might as well just have them run all the time (except when the car is off of course)

i went out today to make sure the fans were functional, and they are. i jumped +12v to F on the relay for each fan and they both spun up. next i tested to see if the orange w/ white tracer was 'always hot'. mine wasnt. with the key on and off, the orange w/ white never got any power. is that right?

i was thinking i could just solder the orange w/ white directly to F on both relay's, would that work?
