a/c decompressing???

a/c decompressing???

ok, decided today was the day to install the lt1 cam...took the radiator out, and realized something, i still have a compressed a/c ....now, how do i get the thing behind the radiator out, without loosing my a/c.....if there is NO possible way....how do i decompress the a/c myself...????????

i dont believe you can save the r-12 or whatever your a/c uses..
The best bet is taking it to a shop to decompress unless you dont care about the tree huggers.. ;-) i dont want to leave instructions and something blow up so we'll let an expert do that

to hell with tree huggers!! tell me how !! i have the radiator out, intake off, tbi off, smog off, every random hose and wire off, dist out, ...NOT about to take it to a shop now, itll take a day putting the crap back on to pay someone 60 bucks for that crap!! any way i can remove the radiator thing that connects to the a/c without decompressing it???? if not tell me how to decompress the a.c !!! please!!!!!!

if i am not mistaken their is a release valve real close to the canister.. i am not responsible for any harm caused to yourself or vehicle.. my car was fully charged also but i just yanked it like no tomorrow and nothing blew up.. no garantess though man..

nozzle ON the canister or on the line, i have 2 nozzles.....and what would blow up???????? lol

ok figured out a way around that .. NEW problem. damn antifreeze spilled in the comparment where the lifters are...about a pint....how do i get that out...what can i do to NOT kill the engine???

just let it go, change your oil when the cam change is done then change it after your cam breakin process is over, it will push the coolant in the valley down to the pan so it will drain when you are finished. The other option is to lget some b-12 carb cleaner and spray it in to the oil pan(through the holes in the valley) then simply change your oil.
